Stations are a secular view of a religious passage.
Setting tension between geometric forms, symbols and color.
Color dominates, provoking questions rather than answers for the viewer to discover.
Garden for example part of that symbolic passage.
The second of my eight Stations of the Christian passion.
The greek letter Psi forms a visual paranormal presence.
An iconic letterform balanced by a Ginkgo leaf. The shape is conspicuous,
yet echos its' resilience. These forms forebode the darkness of Gethsemane.
Each painting is vertical, 24" x 48", oil on canvas.
The works are tense, yet beautiful.
